Mar 11, 2018 · As i found out, if your car has been made befor 19.6.2007 it has a faulty steering lock module that has to be replaced and a software update on a KVM module (which is in the back) has to be made. And if the car was after 19.6.2007 just an update of KVM is needed. Also a TSB 29/2008 is fords way of fixing the problem.

You will be able to programme in the locking/unlocking function, but the PATS immobiliser function can only be programmed in using FORScan for Ford vehicles before 2013. For a 2021 Car the key can only be added in by a Ford dealer, who can also delete the stolen key from the car. 1. Dec 28, 2010 · Put the key in the ignition and turn the key to position 2 and back to position zero,do this 4 times in very quick succcession. You should then hear an audible beep,at this point you press any button on the key fob and you will again hear an audible beep. I found that a pair of flat tipped long nose pliers inserted perpendicular to the opening hole then having the jaws spread open did the trick without the twisting motion that burrs the opening hole.

This is an old Mondeo trick to make Jag flip keys work on the Mk3 Mondeo (the Jag uses the same chips as the focus). Also you shouldnt need a new keyshaft, the PATS chip is in the fob not the shaft, just clip it to the new fob when you finally get it to
